Fabric flowers step by step directions!

This is the stiffener I used.  There are alot of kinds this is just what I choose to use.
Cut fabric to a 12x12 square for connivence or a 12x24 if you want.
Cover work surface with some wax paper, freezer paper or something like that, and then squeeze on some of the stiffener.
Spread out with a paint brush or a squeegee.
Decide what flowers you are going to cut.  1st six in square in picture is the flower on the 4th row 5th key I cut these in different sizes, the top right is the 1st row 2nd flower, bottom left 2nd row 4th key, and last is 1st row 9th key.  I cut my flowers with new blade on 4, pressure and speed on high.
I taped down the fabric to insure it didn't move.
Take off mat and roll up.

Glue back when finished.
I cut 7 of these don't really know why but it worked.

Put brad in center hole.

Crunch together

And here is the flower.
These is cut at different sizes and the first and second on I just glued the tab but on the next few I glued one section over to make a more cupped piece.  The center two are flower on the 2nd row 10 key.  I put a brad through all pieces.

and this is the flower.
The E-600 worked and

so did the hot glue

Hope you enjoyed my tutorial I'm not very good at this but hope this helps.

Fabric flowers using Flower Shoppe Cart

I am experimenting with fabric stiffener and making flowers.  here are the two I made so far.  I painted the fabric with the stiffener and allowed to dry completely.  The I cut to fit 12x12 mat. I used a new mat and rubbed the fabric down so it would stick.  The images are cut at 5 1/2 inches.  I rolled them up but right now I haven't glued them together yet.  Experimenting, I might add some glitter to outer edge, don't know yet.  Thank you for looking.  I just added the last pic.  I set the first flower on top of 3 of the image that is on row 4, 5th from the left on the overlay. (don't have the book to give you the page number.)

In this challenge we were to make a scene for some sort so here is my beach scene.  I am also trying to use only what I have and so far (2days) I, am doing great.  Hope you enjoy! Cartridges I used were Pack Your Bags, Doodlecharms (sun), and Life is a Beach.  I used some stickles on the sun and I glittered the sand.  The face on the sun is a Peachy Keen stamp.

Spending Freeze for 2 months!

Oh, I hope I can do this.  I am going to give myself permission to buy something at the show in St. Charles this weekend but it will have to be a very good price and I have to really think I need it. I am going to try and use all the new cartridges I have acquired lately and join in more challenges.  This will mean I have to really think thing out because I won't be buying little things to finish off the projects.  Wish me luck because I am a spend a holic when it comes to scrapbooking.

Daughter's Skull shirt.

DD wanted this skull shirt so we made it with HTV.  I was sort of afraid because of all the layering, but it came out great and it was even washed and dried.

HTV and Sandie Oxley's idea!

I loved Sandie's hoodie that she showed on the MB but I don't have a yudo so I did this one and one for Tina with HTV.  I love how they turned out.

Magazine Challenge Ending Aug 12

I cut all of these from Pop Up Neighborhood.  I have been working on this for awhile in between my other crafting.  Had to wait until my Hubby cut the wood for mw and he even stained it for me and sanded the edges.  These are all on 2x? so they stand on their own.  I left the blocks square so they could also be stacked, set on a shelf or used for building with the little cars and trains we have.  I really love the way they came out.
