Halloween Owl Wreath

Good morning everyone, hope you all are enjoying a beautiful Fall. I made these owls last week and decided I needed to use them on my Halloween wreath. Any wreath can be decorated with your paper piecings and can be changed out so easy for the next year. Files used were Frankenstein-owl,Mummy-owlVampire-owlBat-owl, and Witch-owl all from PPbNdesigns.com. Hope you enjoyed this project as much as I did.

Fall/Christmas sign

Hello again it is another Monday here at Craft Place and I have a Fall/Christmas sign for you. I live in a small house so whenever I can have a decoration that will work well with more than one season it is great. I bought this chalk board sign at Wal-Mart for about $2.00 and decorated it with ribbon and Square 1 adhesive fabric. This stuff can be printed on with your regular printer and either hand cut or a print n cut. I used my Cameo to print n cut but now you can also do that on your Explore.

I used one side for the Fall and the other for Christmas. These are the files I used Fabulous Fall and Merry Christmas. On the Fall title I added Welcome with a font on my computer and placed it where I wanted it, removed the white background and made a new one with the offset option. I changed the colors by using the fill button and choosing which objects I wanted to change. I changed the Merry Christmas colors slightly so they would match my ribbon. Hope you enjoyed my sign and thank you for visiting.

Halloween Candles

Good morning it is Monday again and I am still doing Halloween decorations for my home. I decided to show you two different candles done with the same file one layered and the other printed.
For the first candle I printed on tissue paper the PNG image from the file Scary Haunted House. I taped the tissue paper onto a piece of regular typing paper and printed. After I had the image I cut away the extra tissue paper and wrapped the design around a regular wax candle. Then I used a hair dryer to heat the tissue paper and candle until the tissue just soaked up the wax and became part of the candle. I added a bow and that candle was finished. The second candle is a flameless candle from Wal-Mart so for this one I used vinyl. I sized the images down a bit to fit my candle and cut only the black layer for the house and tree. I transferred them to the candle with transfer tape. I decided to use the Harvest Moon for this one because I love the bats. I layered my moon and bats and placed them on my candle. So easy and quick.

Trick or Treat bucket

Trick or Treat Bucket
Good morning everyone. I have started getting my decorations ready for Halloween. This is a bucket from Dollar Tree that I used vinyl to decorate and the Trick or Treat file from PPbN Designs. The colors I used are Purple, Yellow, Orange, Lime Green, Black, White and Light Pink. Everything was cut at the size it appeared on the mat except for the spider that I shrunk and only used the bottom layer and cut the eyes and mouth from the top layer. I ties ribbons to the handles and I was finished.

3-d pop up drawer card

This is a card design from Lori Whittlock that I got off of the Silhouette Store site. Just love how easy it was but has a wow factor. There is room in the back for a gift card or small gift. Just thought I would share.

Nail decals

Well it is Monday morning again and I have a cute idea to dress up your nails. Choose any of the PPbN files that have a simple shape and turn them into a nail decal. This bat is from Harvest Moon file. I choose to make different sizes to see what would work best on each nail. I know that the largest I can go is 1/2 inch and the smallest most things will cut well is 1/4 inch so I try to stay in those sizes. The bats cut really well and were easy to weed.

The footballs were from the Super Bowl Sunday file, but there are several other places to find a football. After cutting vinyl and weeding the design I use a set of sharp tweezers to put on my nails and then I use a clear coat of polish over the nail. These stay on really well and I usually have to pick them off when I an done with the design.
